Chapter 1

Beginning of a new life

Hi, my name is Alice D. Roosevelt ,I have red puffy and curly hair that falls into my neck, my eyes are green like the grass in summer and have little freckles all over my cheeks, I ‘me about 1.6 m high and I ‘me 12 years old. I ‘me going to tell you the story of my life beginning with the day that changed my life forever.

I was in the the dining room with my mother when we heard the joyful screaming on the street suddenly we saw my dad come in hurry in the room to tell us the news that changed my life forever: The majority of people voted for him, he was elected PRESIDENT of the US !!! It was unbelievable! And I was so inspired !!! I knew that my dad worked so hard to get to this point.

When my dad did his first speech I was wearing a red dress going along my body until my knees with a black belt on my stomach and straps on my shoulders . When My dad did he’s speech who talked about helping pauverty , stop wars … I was very anxious Because there was so many people and photographers .So when it was finished and when we were behind the stage:

-Dad I ‘me going to take a wake ! I said.

But I don’t think he heard me because he was speaking with the Vice president. So I still choose to go take this walk in the park. This park is the most wonderful park in the world , trees everywhere, a little lack with ducks and swans in it… Suddenly I saw just in front of me two men, the first one was about 1m 50 and was weasel-faced and had a knife in his long black coat. He was followed by a giant that looked little bit like Frankenstein. They were very scary, and they began to swear at me about my father .I saw in their eyes that they had really bad intentions.

-Hey, Bill I think it is the daughter of the president Roosevelt l! If we kidnapped her we could ask for a lot of money and we could force her dad to quit his job of president so that Mister.H replace him.

-Oh, Jack! You’re so smart!!!

They began to walk forward me with a scary smile on their face .There, I really began to be scared!

-Help!!!Help!!! Somebody, Help!

I yelled but nobody was coming and I thought that my wonderful adventure of being the daughter of the president came to the end. Suddenly a young man of fourteen years appeared .He had blond hair stopping to his ear, like the sunshine in summer. His eyes were blue like the tropical ocean .He was very silent and looked very focused .

-I wouldn’t do that if I was you!

He said with a wonderful but still very focused voice .I thought he had much courage of doing this ,but unfortunatly a young man of 14 years couldn’t help me a lot.

-Oh! It’s cute, the kid want to save this lady! Give him a good lesson Bill !!!

Jack said with his normal mean, feroce and sarcastic voice. By surprise the mysterious young man kicked the men so hard that he made them run away! He had saved my life!!!

Just after this incident I heard 4 people call out.

-Alice, Alice! Where are you?

I turned my head and It was obviously my parents followed by their body guards. They looked very scared and I rapidly replied that I was here, when I turned my head to show my hero to my parents he wasn’t here anymore, he had disappeared!

Chapter 2

The accusation

Day pasted and I had many things going on in my head : first , I was punished because I went outside with out a body guard, secondly I tried many times to tell my story to my parents but they couldn’t believe me and finaly I was wondering who was this Mister .H .

One Day when I was walking into an alley, I surprised the Vice President Henry A.Wallace talking to the phone.

-You're some idiots!-

-How could you go without ''The tricolor Bird''!

-Ok Because of you we will do ''The House white Cleaning''

What Bird? What House Cleaning? I understood nothing of what he had said. But one thing I was sure about is that this conversation had something unusual. This night when I was eating with my parents a delicious broccolis soup with some veal in our magnificent dining room made of marble with statues, paintings and a fountain ,we began to hear thousands of footsteps coming closer and closer until they stopped in front of our House and all those people who looked very angry began to yell and throw some rocks at us ,braking window glasses and making a lot of noise. Everybody in the house was very surprised and didn’t know what was happening. Until that one of our House cleaner came with a very anxious face and said to my father:

-Mister. Roosevelt, the police is here and they are accusing you to have stolen and taken into your account the money of the taxes that you had said was to create The Social Security Act .I’m sorry but you have to go with them to the commissariat.

My dad looked at my mum and I ,with a sad, scared and sincere face and said:

-I have to go ,but I promise I will come back soon.

And he went. I began to think: and if my dad was really a criminal? No, it’s impossible! And all those people outside are they going to hurt us? Suddenly a last question came to my thoughts , if I’ll never see him again? This last question was to hard to stand and it made my body began to shovel and looking at my mum’s sad face, I ran into my room and I began to cry ,cry, .For two days I stayed locked into my room crying .

Chapter 3

The secret passage

At the end I said to myself that crying will change nothing and I stopped crying. To change my mind I went in the library to find a book. We had a huge library, it was composed of about 2000 books, many of them are old adults novels but they also have a little number of children stories. My favorite collection is the ‘’Little Golden Books’’ because I think all those stories are very cute but this time I wanted to try another type of book .So when I arrived in the library I searched for a novel to read ,at first I found nothing good but after a second look , I saw a book, it looked very old with righted on it “On The other side “ and under in little characters “A.I.C “ it looked very mysterious with this old fashion looking but a brand new building smell. And suddenly when I pulled it from the shelf a piece of the wall in front of me ,opened itself in two like a sliding door .And there, in front of me was a very long hallway that looked like those modern skyscraper in new York city with at the end a huge round office desk with other hallway all around with people in costume and mini microphone next to their mouth walking very fast in all directions suddenly like the first time the mysterious boy appeared in the middle of the hallway.

-Hey, you weren’t suppose to come here, anyway it’s to late now ,come with me and after we will decide what we will do.

He said with a lovely voice. So, to lost to follow all those events, I began to walk forward him. All of a sudden, I stopped walking and said to my self:

“Hey, what are you doing Alice, it may be dangerous and you’re without your body guard. “

And,

“Hey , really ,this is to crazy to be true you must be dreaming!”

But another side of me was saying,

“Go with him, you love adventures and why would he hurt you if he saved your life few days ago”

And,

“I now you would love to know what is behind all of those events and who is this mysterious boy! “

-So are you coming, yes or no?

He said with a mysterious voice. My curiosity won and when I realized what he had just asked I began to follow ,while I quickly answered:

-Yes, yes, sorry!

We walked a little in the hallway until that we stopped for the boy to knock at the imposing black door with Director of the C.I.A Do not disturb written on it. I began to think … I was sur that my dad couldn’t do such a horrible crime so maybe they could help my father by finding out who did this.

-Enter. Said a big large voice.

We did so and inside behind his desk was standing a very tall man with black glasses and a lot of mussels. He began to say to the mysterious boy .

-So agent 002 how did Alice arrive here?

-H_ how do you know my name? I said trembling. But he ignored me and continued the conversation.

-she took by accident The Book, Mr. R.

-Oh, I see, anyway the only way to repair here mistake is to erase of her brain all of what she saw here.

-NO, please don’t erase my brain you need to help me, my dad was accused of a crime and I’m sure that he didn’t do it .I know that you are the director of the C.I.A so please help me to figure out what really happened. I said cutting them in panic in their discussion.

-Yes, I know what happened to your father, but I can’t take you like that. And it will be to dangerous for you

Some tears began to come out of my eyes. I will probably never see my father out of jell again and I couldn’t support this.

-I could train and help her ,after all I’m here body guard ! The mysterious boy said seing that I really needed help.

Body guard.?What did he meant By this? And ,looking at our two beging faces, he answered while scratching his neck.

-Ohh, so if you really do what you said agent 002, I suppose that we could do something for you Alice.

-But, when you will be finished I will still have to erase your memory of what happened. He continued with very seriously.

-Oh, thank you, thank you so much !!!

-Ok, you will have to be serious. Now agent 002 will make you visit the agency. Tomorrow you’ll have to be here at 9 am for a day of training, finally after tomorrow you’ll have to be here at 7 to begin the research.

-Come, fallow me. Said agent 002

Chapter 4

Visit of the agency

We went out of the office and we began to walk in the very long halway that had like 50 doors between all those people walking fast while talking in their microphones. I began to be a little bit tired of being pushed on every side . We passed infront of a round orange table that looked a little bit like a bar but field with other desks and documents inside. It looked very cool.So inside of the round orange table was 2 women and 2 men that were non stop answering phone calls and writing things on buttons that had letters on it and the letters that they were tyiping were appearing on a square machine. Seeing that I was very intrigued by what they were doing ,he began to say.

- This is the secretariat, those people take the phones calls from the agents in mission and they record it on this machine that is called computer, it’s new.

After, we continued to walk until that we stopped in front of a door ,but unlike the other doors that were all white with the name on a metal sheet, this one was green, blue, red, yellow and orange, and didn’t have any names. We entered, I couldn’t believe it, there was in front of me some people triying some sort of magical objects as some mini balls that when we throw it on the ground it makes smoke. After, their was some glasses making possible to see in the night ,and many others. But my favorite was a sort of little computer where we could see and talk with other people anywere in the world.

- Can I help you. Said a cherry voice behind our back .

I jumped by surprise. It was a smiley woman about 35 years old ,she had brown eyes and brown curly hair that were going everywhere in the air like funder. She was wearing a white scientific suite and looked very funny.

-This is Alice, she is going to have a mission. It’ s a long story.

-Oh, you are Alice! My name is Helene Le Roux.

-Nice to meet you Mrs. Le Roux .Are you a magician?

-Ha ha! No I’m a scientist and everything that you see there is very advanced technology. That agents uses for mission. It saved a lot of lives. She said very proudly.

-Oh, I love your inventions Mrs. .Le Roux.

-Ok, I think you had enough for today and you must get some rest, tomorrow will be a long day. Said agent 002.

-He’s right, Alice. It’s already 6 pm and your family must ask their self where you are. See you!

-See you.

We want back in the hallway, where we walked a little until the wall, he pressed the red button and the wall opened into like the first time.

-Goodbye. I said

-Goodbye, and don’t forget tomorrow at 9 am.

After this ,I walked through the library, up the stairs and finally entered my room. It was white with all my furniture in wood paint in white, It was the fashion at the time. I let my self fall into the bed, I was exhausted! I begin to think about everything that happened today and after to my dad ,how he must be alone and….

--Alice, Alice, sweety .Said a feminine, nice and calm voice when softly shaking my shoulder.

It was my mother who came to wake me up because I had fell asleep. I looked at my watch it was already 9 pm and my stomach began to gurgle. We walked down the stairs to the dining room where we sat down .

-Are you hungry?

-Yes ,a little

-Alice your dad is going to be judge tomorrow from 12 to 12h 30.

-On Tuesday morning !!!But it gives us no time!!! Oups, I had talked out loud.

-No time for what? Said my mother.

-Euh… No time to make a card for daddy.

-Oh, how sweet! It’s already late and you should go to bed.

-Goodnight mummy.

-Goodnight Alice.

I went up in my room, put on my pajamas, and fell asleep in my bed.

Chapter 5

Problem

The next day I woke up a 8 am I put on my red flower dress, walked down stairs, took my breakfast and ran into the library where agent 002 was waiting for me.

-Good job Alice you’re in time!

-Thanks, but we have a problem, the court case is at noon and finishes at 12h 30.

-Tomorrow! But we don’t have time for training! Come we have to go to Helene’s lab to prepare for the mission .

- Really , but I know nothing about it , I’ll make the mission fail!

-I believe in you, you’ll do fine! He said looking at me in the eyes with real belief. On this words I discovered his real beauty with his hair blond like gold and his eyes of a deep blue like the sky. He had a voice as the birds in summer…

-Euh, so yes, we have to go to Helene’s lab. He said embarrassed after few minutes of silence.

-Right.

So we walked between all the agents and passed next to the secretariat finally we arrived in front of the colorful door and we entered.

-Hello Helene could we get some gadgets please.

-Sur, but weren’t you suppose to train today?

-Yes but we don’t have time, her father is getting judge tomorrow morning.

-I see….. So here is for you Alice. She was looking for something on the shelf .

-Ah, here it is! So this is for you it is A Cell Phone. It’s a small phone that you can bring with you. And inside there is a program cold Skype you can communicate with people all around the world. And there is a small ball and if you throw it next to peopleit makes smoke and it makes them cry and calf so that you have time to escape. Finally here is some close and a gun.

-Oh thanks ,but I don’t really know how to use a gun.

-Well, we really don’t have time to teach you, you will have to learn it on your own.

-Come Alice we have to go .Said agent 002 who looked very stressed.

-Good luck! Said Helene Le Roux.

We went in a sort of vertical metal box. That closed and began to go down and up very fast, finally it stoped and opened again , we were in the middle of the street in Las Veas!

Chapter 6

Mission

-First, I have to know, did you see, hear , something that seemed strange ? Said agent 002

-Hum….Oh yes! The same day when you saved me from the bad guys, I heard the vice-president having a strange conversation to the phone, it made no sens!

-Can you remember what he said?

- Yes I think it was something like that:

-You're some idiots!-

-How could you go without ''The try color Bird''!

-Ok Because of you we will do ''The House white Cleaning''

-Interesting, I think it is like a secret code. One my side , when I was fighting with the 2 boys I put a mini camera on them and I find out where they lived.

He took some keys out and began to walk forward a car, he opened it and went one the front seat.

-You can ride!? I said with amazement.

-Yes, every spies know how to ride! He said as if it was totally normal to know how to ride at 14.

-So, where are we going? I said sitting in the other front seat.

-In an abandoned building in the country side.

He turned on the car and began to drive as if he had always done this! After a half hour we arrived in front of an huge building in rock it was very ugly. We went out of the car and walked forward the entrance of the building, inside their was gun marks on the wall and blood splashes on the ground. I began to have my hart biting very fast. Agent 002 suddenly took my hand, looked at me and said.

-Don’t worry it’s going to be alright. He said it with so much confidence that it made me forget my fear. But suddenly a cracking noise followed by footsteps made us turn are head. We ran up the stairs to hide

-Mister H is a genius! To accuse the president of doing this only him could think of that!

I finally saw their faces and I recognized the same 2 mans that attacked me last time.” Crack” Oups, I lost balance and I rolled down the stairs.

-Oh, I see that we have a little visitor! Said jack with a dangerous smile on his face walking forward me.

-Let her alone!!! Said agent 002, he through the little ball that makes smoke and continued, by saying.

-Runaway Alice, Runaway!!!

So I ran as far as I could passing from room to room but suddenly I stopped “ Where was agent 002?” I went silently back on my steps and I saw him, tied up with a gun pointing on his head. I couldn’t let this happen without reacting! I thought… And I looked around me their was one rope and I still had the small smoke bomb, my gun and a telephone. I know! I could shoot on the gun , throw the ball and when they wont be able to see me tie them up, finally I could call the police or call the agency! Their was only one problem , I would never be able to shoot on this gun from so far, I risked to hurt agent 002. But Anyway I thought or he get killed with me doing nothing or I give it a try. I took out my gun , pointed on the other gun , put my finger on the trigger , and all trembling pressed the trigger.

-Ahhh!

Did I hurt agent 002? It’s what I asked to my self during the longest second of my life but no it was bill that twisted his wrist when I shoot on the gun he was holding. I had to act fast ,I through the smoke ball and like in my plan begin to turn around them with the rope and finally tie them up. I called the agency.

-Hello, is it you Alice? Said the director of the agency.

-Yes, we have captured to men that are good from prison .

-I will send some police that works with us.

-Thanks. I said and I hang out.

-Alice you saved my life! Said agent 002. While I was untying him.

-You saved mine. I replied.

He looked at me, I looked at him, we both got lost into each others eyes while slowly approaching our heads to each other ,and we kissed, it was like a paradise , I loved him, He loved me. But a thing had to come to my thoughts just after, My dad’s court case was ending in half an hour.

-We still have to find out who it is and get proves! I said to agent 002.

-Your right come I think there is a room there09 that is full of papers. So we walked and he was right two rooms farther there was a room full of papers and books. We entered in it, it was very messy.

-Hey look, there is a letter it says:

Dear Bill and Jack,

You are some stupid idiots you can’t even catch a

little girl it’s why I had to show you how to make

a good plan by stealing the social security act

money and putting it in the presidents account

so that he gets accused.

Henry, A Wallace

White House

-Oh, how stupid am I ! It’s logical you are the tricolor bird and he hired those two men and the house white cleaning is the plan B , to make your family go out of the white house! Said agent 002

-And he wanted to send my father in prison so that he could be president of the U.S.A! I conclude.

-Yes, and his plan is going to work if we don’t hurry! He said looking at his watch

Chapter 7

Saving the situation

He was right , we ran outside where the C.I.A police was taking Bill and Jack. There was also a private helicopter waiting for us. We went inside of it but it was a superfast helicopter because in 10 min we where back to Washington, 3 blocks away from the tribunal. I looked at my watch it was 12h 28, I had 2 minutes to arrive . Holding the letter firmly in my right hand I began to run, I had never run so fast of my whole life. I finally arrived in front of the magnificent white building with written on it Building Of Justice. Still running, I went up the stairs ,entered the building and powerfully opened the Court door.

-I have proves that my dad didn’t do this!!!

But suddenly I realized that thousands of heads where staring at me. I began to blush.

-Alice! Where were you? Said a voice that seemed very worried ,in the crowd. It was my mother.

- Sorry, I can’t tell you where I was, but I have proves that my dad didn’t do this, it’s the Vice president, Henry. A Wallace.

-Ha, ha ha , I hope that you’re not going to believe a little girl. Said Henry A. Wallace with an hypocrite smile on his lips.

-I listen to you Mrs. Roosevelt. Said the judge.

-The day when my dad did his first speech, I was attacked by two men but luckily I figured out how to escape, those two men mentioned a Mr. H that paid them to kidnap me so that in exchange my dad give up his job of president. Still the same day I surprised Mr. Wallace having a strange conversation on the phone that was obviously a secret code. It was like that:

You're some idiots!-

How could you go without ''The try color Bird''!

Ok Because of you we will do ''The House white Cleaning''

-Finally today I found this letter. I said hanging out the letter to the Judge.

The judge began to read out loud:

-Dear Bill and Jack, You are some stupid idiots you can’t even catch a little girl, it’s why I had to show you how to make a good plan by stealing the social security act money and putting it in the presidents account so that he gets accused. Signed

Henry, A Wallace, White House.

-Oh, Dear Mr. Wallace what a language. I think we found are culpable. Mr. Henry. A . Wallace is by the law declared culpable!!! Said the judged will the police mans were taking Henry. Wallace.

I ran into my father’s arm ,we hugged for a long time ,it was the greatest day of my life and just after that we went back home as a happy family or a happy presidential family. When we were in the car, we saw people were screaming of joy in the streets and saying

-Hurray, Hurray mister Franklin. D . Roosevelt!!! Hurray, Hurray Mrs. Alice .Roosevelt!!!

I felt so proud of my self! We arrived home I went up into my room to put my jacket, but on my bed their was a little note saying:

Alice,

Join us in my office,

Now that my mission is accomplished,

We have some things to talk about

Chapter 8

Happy Ending?

I felt sad ,I had completely forgot that he had to erase my mind after the mission. And apart that it was to save my dad from mission I kind of liked all of this suspens and action. After some thoughts I realized that I had forgot something, I won’t be able to see agent 002 again, and even if I could see him again I wont remember him and what we have lived together. I began with some tears rolling down my cheeks to walk slowly down the stairs and then through the Library , where I opened the secret passage and walked forward the Director of the C.I.A door. I opened it and there they where , both, the director and my beloved that seemed as devastated as me.

-Hello Alice, as you know normally we have to erase your brain , you will forget about what you lived those last two days, you will live a nice happy and calm life with your family and never see agent 002 again. But I have a proposition, I looked at what you did during the mission, and the plan to save agent 002 and the way you shoot perfectly on the other gun while it was the first time you used a gun, showed obviously that you have talent . So my proposition is soo, or, as I said, we will to erase your brain , you will forget about what you lived those last two days, you will live a nice happy and calm life with your family and never see agent 002 again. Or you become a professional agent and stay with agent 002, but live a life full of danger.

-Oh, my answer is obvious, I will take the second choice, become a secret agent and stay with agent 002. I said joyfully throwing my self into his arm.

-If you are really sure of your choice, I suppose that you will really begin your training tomorrow. Said the director of the C.I.A.

After this wonderful moment , agent 002 said that he had a surprise, so we went outside , I went on the back of his motto and he drove for about 20 minutes, after he stopped next to a plain, we walked a little in the fresh green grass covered with flowers . After he told me to close my eyes we made some few steps and when he finally allowed me to look, I was amazed , were on the top of the cliff, next to the clear blue ocean and the sunset in front of me was orange, yellow ,pink.

-It’s, It’s ,beautiful! I said with amazement

-It’s my little paradise, my secret place, but I have something else to tell you, something that I never told to anybody else.. My real name is Nicolas Anderson….
